Madness is in their Heart

There are, in a sense, two different worlds here. Two places where people can choose to live out their days. Two places that people can live and work and play and raise families. Two places that people can spend their days and live pointlessly or live with a purpose in life. In the Book of Ecclesiastes, Solomon speaks of living life under the sun. S-U-N, sun. You can choose to live out your days under the sun, living day to day and getting by and finding that you are never quite satisfied. You may have a wonderful family, a wonderful home, a wonderful job, and wonderful stuff, but none of it really brings peace or joy. So you buy more stuff. You try new things. You eat, drink, and be merry, for tomorrow you may die. And there is little satisfaction in any of it.
The other place you can choose to spend your days is in the heavenly places where God is. You set your affections on things above and not under the sun. You can have peace that passes all understanding because it is from God and you have been reconciled to God through Jesus Christ.
