Exploring Red Oak Nature Center: Trees, Caves, Rivers, and Fun!

Join us as we hit the trails at Red Oak Nature Center! This family day hike led us through dense woods, up scenic paths, and even into the mysterious “Cave of the Spirit” on the banks of the Fox River. We packed our Decathlon Forclaz backpacks with plenty of weight for some extra hiking practice, making it an adventure that combined training and sightseeing.

Along the way, we came across a beautiful stretch of forest, spotted unique flora like foxfire moss, and let "GPG" (our GoPro Girl) lead the way. Some trails were rugged and led us through a dry water channel back toward the main path. The forest sounds and rich green surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for a day of exploration and fun. From start to finish, this hike brought out our inner adventurers and reminded us why we love hitting the trails together.
