Do Good Works Play a Role in Salvation?

A lot of people believe that if they live a good life, do good deeds, and try their best, they’ll make it to heaven.

But the Bible says something different. Ephesians 2:8-9 tells us, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.”
That’s clear—salvation is by grace, through faith, not by works.
