Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill was stopped by Miami-Dade Police near Hard Rock Stadium on September 8, 2024, just hours before his team’s game. Driving a black McLaren, Hill was cited for reckless driving and a seatbelt violation. Tensions rose when he rolled up his window after handing over his license, leading an officer to knock and demand he lower it. When he didn’t comply immediately, officers forcibly removed him, pushing him to the ground before handcuffing him. Hill called the Dolphins’ security director, Drew Brooks, for assistance, and teammates, including Calais Campbell and Jonnu Smith, arrived at the scene. Campbell was briefly detained but later released. Despite the rough handling, Hill remained cooperative. The officer involved has been placed on administrative duty pending an investigation.
