The ruins of the National Explosives Company factory are located in the sand dunes at Upton Towans near Hayle, Cornwall. The factory was established in 1888 to produce dynamite for the mining industry. It closed in 1920.
The factory produced dynamite, cordite & explosives for the Royal Navy during World War One.
