Recorded February 2025. Featuring William Scoufaras. Earlier in the Winter, the MBTA suspended service on any line that crossed the Mystic River near Assembly Orange Line Station for bridge work. This includes the MBTA Orange Line, Haverhill and Newburyport/Rockport Lines. However, the Northern Haverhill Line Stations were able to utilize train service using the Wildcat Branch that connects the Lowell and Haverhill Lines for the Amtrak Downeaster. The Wildcat Branch is primarily used by Amtrak for the Downeaster service, but the MBTA utilized the Wildcat Branch to continue service between North Station and Haverhill. Or in this case Bradford. Since it was a rare opportunity to ride two train lines in one video as well as riding the Wildcat Branch on an MBTA train instead of on Amtrak, we decided to utilize the opportunity for a good train ride! We even scored $10 weekend passes so it was a cheap ride too. An adventure well worth it! Enjoy the epic train ride!
