Vitamin A is a vitamin that is often overlooked in the media surrounding nutritional health. Think about it. We easily think of vitamin C, Vitamin D, vitamin E. Often people pop up into my shop looking for these supplements, but I can't remember a time someone just came in on their own looking for Vitamin A.

I use vitamin A for thyroid disorders, yet if you have a thyroid disorder chances are you haven't thought of Vitamin A, and chances are even slimmer that your doctor has mentioned it to you.

Vitamin A for Men's health; huge for testosterone production, management, and key for fertility.

Cases of measles are breaking out in the US at the moment, and in all of the news coverage of that - including the "medical expert" pundits - I've not heard a single reference to the importance of Vitamin A - both for prevention and treatment. You might not be aware of that, either, so today I'll be digging into the role of Vitamin A in the immune system and specifically for measles prevention and treatment.

There are different forms of Vitamin A in supplement form, and it's important to use that from fish liver oil rather than synthetic.

"But, Becky... what about carrots?"

Carrots (beta-carotenes) - though wonderfully healthful - are not true vitamin A and don't do the trick here. Join me, and I'll tell all!
