FORGOTTEN SCI FI TV PRESENTS: "The Starlost" (1973)

"The Starlost" was a short-lived Canadian science fiction television series from 1973. The show centered on inhabitants of a generational starship who are unaware of their true surroundings after an accident. Harlan Ellison conceived the show, but he became dissatisfied with production challenges and budget cuts. Technical difficulties with special effects and limited studio space further hampered the project. Critics generally panned the show, despite some notable guest stars, and Ellison distanced himself by using a pseudonym. The series garnered a novelization and later a comic book adaptation.
