black men are NOT weak—so why are they suffering in silence?

black men are called protectors. providers. warriors.

but when they struggle, society calls them weak.

in 2020, my son's father took his own life.

not because he was weak, but because the weight of the world was too much.

black men face pressure from every side—family, work, society, the law.

but where do they go when they need help? do we really give them space to heal? or do we just tell them to "man up"?

i take accountability for not understanding sooner.

but now, i want to do better.
