The meeting between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was cut short Friday after a tense exchange in the Oval Office. A joint press conference and the signing of a critical minerals deal between the United States and Ukraine were both called off.

Trump is set to sign an executive order making English the official language of the United States, a move aimed at promoting unity within the nation.

Vice President JD Vance addressed the National Catholic Prayer Breakfast in Washington Friday morning, as Pope Francis continues to battle pneumonia. Earlier Friday, the Pope suffered a sudden episode of respiratory difficulty and was placed on a breathing machine.
