Watters: Epstein File Dump a ‘Dud’—FBI Hiding Key Docs to Protect Itself

D.C. (Dist. of Criminals), February 28, 2025 — Fox News host Jesse Watters exposed the failures of the FBI and DOJ in the long-anticipated release of Jeffrey Epstein's files, calling the document dump a "dud" meant to protect the establishment while delivering little new information. Watters emphasized that government officials now have "no one to protect but themselves" as the cover-up collapses.

The released documents—which include Epstein's infamous black book, some flight logs, and a redacted list of masseuses—are largely material that has been available for years, raising suspicions about what the FBI is still withholding. Attorney General Pam Bondi, furious over the apparent concealment of key evidence, sent a letter to newly appointed FBI Director Kash Patel, demanding answers on why the Manhattan FBI office never disclosed "thousands of documents" related to Epstein.

Watters pointed directly at the FBI’s New York field office as a likely source of obstruction, questioning whether disloyal figures within the agency were suppressing damaging revelations to undermine the Trump administration. He cited James E. Dennehy, assistant director in charge of the office, who previously signaled internal resistance to Trump’s efforts to reform federal agencies. Watters also referenced Maurene Comey, the prosecutor on the Epstein and Maxwell cases, who happens to be the daughter of fired former FBI Director James Comey.

"Epstein was facing sex trafficking charges in lower Manhattan—where’s all that paperwork?" Watters asked, highlighting the missing records from Epstein’s seized properties and the suspicious handling of his 2008 sweetheart deal.

Watters suggested that the FBI may also be hiding its own complicity, asking whether Epstein had been an informant or intelligence asset. "Was he a double agent? He had dirt on everyone, a knack for making cash, and now he’s dead," he said. "The government has no one left to protect but themselves."

Despite promises of full transparency, Bondi has already faced obstacles in obtaining the full case files, warning that more critical evidence remains buried. The controlled release of select documents, she argued, is an attempt by the FBI to limit damage rather than reveal the full extent of Epstein’s network.

As pressure mounts, calls for an independent review of the FBI’s handling of the Epstein case are growing louder, with Trump allies demanding that every concealed document be released.
