Bivol Wants All the Smoke! Is El Rayo Good Enough to Gary Russell? Chris Eubank Speaks

Jose El Rayo Valenzuela and Gary Antuanne Russell will fight for El Rayo's WBS strap tomorrow night. This fight is close on paper. If Robert Garcia has El Rayo prepared, he can win.

Gary Antuanne Russell is a buzz saw. He's very aggressive and can be sloppy at times. He rushes his opponents and overwhelms them with punches. Who has the advantage in this fight? We'll find out tomorrow night.

In other news, Dmitry Bivol says he wants all the smoke from whoever. Bivol said he's open to fighting the trilogy with Beterbiev. He's open to fighting Canelo and says he's willing to fight David Benavidez.

Here's what he said to a reporter on Ring Magazine after his victory over Beterbiev:

“I’m open to any fight but I want to enjoy that I’m undisputed champion,” Bivol told a group of reporters following his win. “I want to take care of my health because I have some issues. I want to heal myself and then move forward again.”

Once his aching bones are brand new, Bivol (24-1, 12 KOs) will have a decision to make. Beterbiev won their initial showdown and has already expressed his desire in a third fight.

Canelo Alvarez, who lost to Bivol back in 2022, has always wanted revenge. Those two were a given but David Benavidez has also entered the mix. If things weren’t complicated enough, Callum Smith just grabbed the WBO interim title.

When asked who he wants next, Bivol replied, "It doesn't matter." Notice he didn't say, I have to talk to my team. Or my team makes the fights for me. I don't make the decisions on who I fight.

Bivol doesn't talk like some of these North American fighters. Let's see how this plays out.
