Obama Transportation Secretary Endorses Elon Musk Upgrading FAA Air Traffic Control System

And I read that a doge may be getting into the FAA system to re make some reforms and some changes to the air traffic control system do you want to see that happen an agency like an outside agency do that I I I think this I think many of us including myself worked very hard on NextGen technology that’s what it’s called the technology that the air traffic controllers use to guide planes in and out of airports is Antiquated and it takes a lot of money to really get the best equipment possible so I give President Trump and uh uh Shan Duffy the Secretary of Transportation High marks for placing a high priority you got to get the money you got to get the best technology and you got to get it in place that’s what the air traffic controllers need so there are updates that you think need to be made pardon me there are some updates that that need to be made I’ve read that it’s pretty it’s a it it’s a 19th century system we need to get into the 21st century with our technology these air traffic controllers the flying public deserves much better you think Musk with his experience with SpaceX would be a good person to take a look at it at least and make changes I think he understands the issues of Aviation and I think he understands the issues of safety and Aviation and he knows we we have an Antiquated system and and you know the President Trump has talked about it I give them credit on this they they know what the issue is they got to find the money to make it happen
