Karoline Leavitt obliterates media's attacks on Dan Bongino's appointment at the FBI
The liberal media is once again using its favorite strategy: discrediting anyone President Trump appoints to clean up corruption in Washington. This time, the target is Dan Bongino, a patriot with an impeccable track record in law enforcement, whose appointment has sparked hysteria in the press. However, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt swiftly responded and exposed the hypocrisy behind these attacks in a powerful statement that has resonated throughout conservative circles.
During a White House press briefing, Leavitt left no doubt about the media’s true intentions: crafting a narrative to discredit Bongino. "I'm not sure if anyone in this room has listened to Mr. Bongino when he speaks about past corruption in the FBI or his experience serving in the U.S. Secret Service," Leavitt said. "This is a man who loves his country and has served honorably in ways many have not."
Bongino, a former Secret Service agent and veteran fighter against government corruption, has been labeled by the press as "a far-right podcaster"—a desperate attempt to delegitimize his career and commitment to transparency. Leavitt wasted no time dismantling this falsehood: "He is a former law enforcement officer. He is a former Secret Service agent who put his life on the line to protect this country. That is why President Trump has entrusted him with this important role."
Media attacks are nothing new. Every time an outsider challenges the Washington "swamp," establishment agents and their media allies go into panic mode. As Leavitt rightly pointed out, "when outsiders are appointed to such coveted positions, a lot of people in this town get very, very nervous. And they should be."
The reason for this reaction is clear: Dan Bongino, along with Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi, is committed to rooting out corruption in federal agencies. "They are focused on ending the weaponization of government once and for all," Leavitt asserted. President Trump’s agenda has been clear—to restore transparency to institutions and ensure that intelligence and security agencies work for the American people, not for political elites.
Reactions to Leavitt’s speech came quickly. Republicans and conservatives on social media praised her strength and courage in defending the truth against media manipulation. Meanwhile, major television networks and mainstream newspapers chose to ignore or distort her statements, a tactic that no longer surprises anyone.
As the Trump administration advances its mission to restore trust in institutions, attacks from the political and media establishment will only intensify. However, the determination of figures like Karoline Leavitt and Dan Bongino makes it clear that the American people will not be fooled. The fight for truth and justice is underway, and conservatives are ready for battle.
