Convicted Felon Tased and Arrested with Ghost Gun in Apartment Complex

On President’s Day, around 8pm, officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 800 block of N. Benson Ave regarding a suspicious male. The caller said an unknown adult male parked in someone’s assigned spot, was acting erratic, and believed to be under the influence of drugs.

The male was contacted by officers, disobeyed repeated orders, and refused to exit his vehicle. The male then continued to reach inside his jacket pockets/waistband, and after failing to comply, was tasered. Officers were able to get the guy out of the SUV and take him into custody.

Inside of the jacket he was wearing was a loaded unserialized P80 handgun. The suspect, who was a convicted felon, also had prior arrests for possessing firearms.
