It is important to view to the end. While many feel we are helping end global poverty when infact most AID is wasted doing nothing to improve living conditions or ending poverty.

The lack of achievement in "third world" countries is not from lack of aid by outsiders well intentions. If the more capable members of a society pack it in and flee to greener pastures they leave behind a void of tellent needed for those countries to improve their societies.

What is needed by many poverty strickened contries is the west (and the Euroasian countries) stop sending fungable funds that end up in Swiss banks. Sending idealist missionaries and public works can help but what, in my opinion, they need is these populations embrace self-reliance and national pride.

Making African and other nations dependent on outside aid robs them of national success. Working toward a competent nation that produces marketable national products can lead to independence. The European's granting national soverienty to former colonies has mostly produced dictatorships that thrive on the largess of people that are motived by thier national guilt. Marxism promotes resentment of success an instill covetousness.
