8 people killed, including women and children

According to the local disaster management authority, four women washing clothes were swept away by the floods; only one survived. Additionally, a child drowned, and a roof collapse led to the deaths of a woman and three children.

🚨 Farah Province:

21 people killed
6 injured
Mohammad Israel Sayar, head of the disaster management authority in Farah province, reported that the victims included two families who had gone for a picnic.

‼️Afghanistan, one of the world's poorest countries, is particularly vulnerable to the impacts of climate change, leading to an increase in extreme weather events. In May last year, flash floods claimed hundreds of lives and inundated vast agricultural lands across the country.
