Sonoma County Board of Supervisors 2/25/25 Post Meeting Update

Appearing before Sonoma County Board of Supervisors (BOS) on February 25, 2025, was my 24th in-person BOS appearance.

Because California has 58 county BOS, I have 34 more to go.

Unfortunately County of Sonoma limits public participation. The County Administrator’s Office announced on September 28, 2023, that members of the public who wish to address the Board during meetings must attend in-person, I just learned.

“The change is due to the escalating challenges of maintaining civility among those who participate in the Public Comment portion of the Board meeting via Zoom,” the County Administrator’s Office stated.

Thus far, Sonoma County is the only county I have encountered during my stop the COVID-19 shots mission which limits public participation.

Thus Julie Butte, who is COVID-19 vaccine injured and watched the Board meeting via Zoom from Butte County, was unable to comment.

Limiting public participation in a Constitutional Republic is not a good thing.
