Heather O'Rourke was an American actress best known for her iconic role as Carol Anne Freeling in the Poltergeist film series and her role on the tv show Happy Days. Born on December 27, 1975, in San Diego, California, she began her acting career at a young age and became a household name after starring in the supernatural horror films. Tragically, O'Rourke's life was cut short on February 1, 1988, at the age of 12 reportedly due to a misdiagnosed medical condition, leading to cardiac arrest. Her untimely passing shocked fans and the entertainment industry, cementing her legacy as one of the most memorable child stars in Hollywood history.
