Christians, PLEASE Stop Assuming Israel is Incorruptible

Folks, I’m a proud Christian, which is why I get so upset when evangelicals here in the West assume that Israel, simply for the sake of being Israel, must necessarily be righteous in everything it does; so, to dispel that goofy nonsense, I thought I’d read through the first four verses of Zephaniah chapter 3 in the Bible where the city in question is Jerusalem, at the time part of Israel: “Woe to her who is rebellious and defiled, the oppressing city! She listens to no voice; she accepts no correction. She does not trust in the Lord; she does not draw near to her God. Her officials within her are roaring lions; her judges are evening wolves that leave nothing till the morning. Her prophets are fickle, treacherous men; her priests profane what is holy; they do violence to the law.” If you’re part of the crowd that glorifies every baby Israel murders with two-thousand-pound bombs from the sky then it might be time to pick up your Bible, open your eyes, and stop fooling yourself into believing that Israel can do no wrong; if you're a Christian, read the history of your religion: "The Jews" turned their backs on God many times, and as you know, hung our savior on a cross naked and tortured him to death in front of his mother; neither being Israeli nor being Jewish means anything at all as far as morality goes-- God judges all the same.
