How to make ghee (Step 3)

Here is what the finished product will look like, when you take it out of your canner.
Out of 6 pounds of butter, we now have 12 1/2pints of ghee. After it sits and cools off. The liquid will turn into a beautiful solid creamy color. The color will depend on the butter you use.

We use it for many things, but a favorite is when we are cooking Turkey bacon or sausage. It crisps up Turkey bacon perfect. Most people say Turkey bacon is to dry, I found cooking it in a fat helps.
