Davey Crocker Reef is a vibrant patch reef located just off the shore of Islamorada in the Florida Keys. This dive site is renowned for its rich marine biodiversity, making it a favorite among divers and snorkelers alike.

Marine Life and Coral Formations

The reef teems with a variety of marine species, including nurse sharks, large schools of tropical fish, and sizable eels. Divers often encounter nurse sharks and groupers amidst the reef extensive coral formations. The area is adorned with large brain and star coral mounds, some reaching up to 15 feet in height, creating a labyrinthine environment for exploration. Additionally, the reef is surrounded by a forest of purple sea fans, adding to its visual splendor.
