Jean gives us many Scriptural functions of the Holy Spirit. But the passion she has in sharing this message lights a fire of faith which brings a thirst and hunger for the power, presence and abundance of the Holy Spirit’s indwelling. No one can lead a victorious life and fulfil the Great Commission without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. How often do we depend on and are attentive to the Holy Spirit teaching us, guiding our lives and giving us God’s wisdom for our daily lives? Don’t allow your past to control your future in Christ. You are an overcomer and destined to fulfil His purposes. Without the Holy Spirit we cannot even come close to living the life God has called us to. God’s goal for the Holy Spirit in our lives is not just for maintenance but for abundance. (Eph 3:19) The fullness of God is about allowing Him to settle in and make Himself at home, and fully influence and govern our lives. When we are filled with the Holy Spirit there is less of our wants, desires, sins and our influences in life. Our Christian life is meant to be an ongoing experience in the life of the Holy Spirit.
