Drops nothing, but awards 3000 souls. This is on NG+1 (NG+).

There aren't really any consequences to killing him. If you do not, then only when speaking to him after Kingseeker Frampt's arrival at Firelink Shrine will he show up as a hostile NPC in New Londo Ruins. He doesn't drop any items then either.
