Hey GolfCask members! In Episode 8 of Breaking 70: Racing Father Time, I’m diving deep into skill-based putting training—because technique alone won’t get you to your scoring goals!

✅ Injury Update: Feeling great! Last PT session is Friday, and I’ll finally start working my way back into full swings after three months.

✅ Today’s Focus: Putting Skills
We’re breaking down five key putting skills that will make you a more consistent putter:
1️⃣ Face Control – Understanding how face angle impacts start direction
2️⃣ Impact Control – Striking the ball on the toe, heel, or center
3️⃣ Vertical Strike Control – Hitting the ball high, low, or center on the face
4️⃣ Speed Control – Learning to control putt speed intentionally
5️⃣ Green Reading – (Coming soon when we move outdoors!)

The key to improvement? Skill-based training. Instead of chasing a perfect technique, train your ability to control these five skills and adapt on the course. You’ll start fixing putts in real-time rather than blaming yourself!

🎯 Drills included to improve face and impact control—perfect for indoor practice on a putting mat or carpet.

🚀 Next Week: Wrapping up putting with orientation drills and mindset tips, plus insights from Dr. Mike Gravelos on the mental game.

🔥 Try these drills and let me know which ones challenge you the most! Drop your feedback in the comments and keep grinding towards your scoring goals.
