Uh Oh! Concerning issues with the software on SC tabulators

Election machines that are not connected to the internet are safe, right? They are also rigorously tested for security issues, right? Maybe not, and this is what is so concerning about the purchase of new tabulators for elections in SC.

Why did the state need to purchase or lease new machines when they are only 5 years old and haven't been used extensively? The SC Election Commission claims the machines make risk-limiting audits easier, but these types of audits are NOT the gold standard. Seems like a pork project.

Cyber expert Julie Baker reports on the deep dive research she conducted on an open-source software embedded in the DS300 tabulators used to scan and count our ballots.

Why are foreign actors funding these open-source software initiatives? Is it really for "sustainability" or something more sinister?
