Last night, nearly everyone at the CNN table was in an uproar over the “What did you last week?” email sent by Elon Musk and DOGE to all federal employees—a message some claimed was ‘abusive’ or something along those lines.

But Scott Jennings completely shut down all that noise. As CNN hosts and panelists griped about federal employees even receiving the email, Jennings fired back. One of the panelists, Libby Phillip, complained that employees don’t have access to their email on the weekend, insinuating that they couldn’t possibly respond in time. To that, Jennings quipped, “Didn’t they go to work today?”

My favorite moment came when Jennings took aim at a female guest who had appeared on CNN earlier in the day. She was visibly infuriated by the email, yet Jennings pointed out the obvious: if she had time to go on CNN, why wouldn’t she have time to send a quick 30-second email?
