Apatros Review Ep-0134: The Hills Have Eyes Part II [1984]

AR-0134: The original "The Hills Have Eyes" is what I consider to be Wes Craven's best film alongside "A Nightmare on Elm Street", with its tale of an All-American family getting harassed by mutant cannibals. Right after the success of ANoES, Craven was given some dough and told to make a sequel to Hills, which he wasn't entirely enthused about. The result is a bit of a mess and something that feels more like a typical 1980s slasher movie than the nightmarish best of Craven's work.

My Grade: D+ [Disappointing]
