Dan Bongino to work alongside Kash Patel as Deputy Director of the FBI

US President Donald Trump has announced Dan Bongino will serve as the Deputy Director of the FBI.

Bongino is a former NYPD officer, served 12 years as a member of the Secret Service, and a former host of Fox News.

Trump announced Bongino’s role in a post to Truth Social, revealing the Secret Service veteran will work alongside FBI Director Kash Patel.

“Great news for Law Enforcement and American Justice! Dan Bongino, a man of incredible love and passion for our Country, has just been named the next Deputy Director of the FBI, by the man who will be the best ever Director, Kash Patel,” Trump wrote.

News of Bongino’s announcement has been praised by social media users, with many celebrating the appointment.

“The Dream Team has assembled at every federal agency. Dan is a great American patriot,” wrote one user.
