🚨 NASA: ASTEROID IMPACT RISK DOUBLES—BUT HEY, NO NEED TO PANIC (YET)

NASA now says asteroid 2024 YR4 has a 3.1% chance of hitting Earth in December 2032, up from 1.3% just weeks ago.

While still low, NASA’s Davide Farnocchia admits a 2%+ impact risk is rare—so, yeah, they’re paying attention.

The space rock is 130 to 330 feet wide, big enough to flatten a city if it hits.

A similar-sized asteroid in 1908 wiped out 1,250 square miles of Siberian forest—so, not exactly a scratch.

NASA has until April to fine-tune its trajectory before the asteroid disappears until 2028.

The Webb Telescope will scan it using infrared tech to estimate its exact size—because knowing how big the thing is before it (maybe) hits would be nice.

For now, Earth is still safe—but with a Torino scale rating of 3 (most asteroids rank zero), astronomers aren’t shrugging this one off.
