A CHILD'S DEVOTION TO PARENTS

The phrase "Filial piety to parents" implies the obligation and responsibility of a child to respect, love and do good to his or her parents. This devotion can be realized in various forms, such as:

1. **Honoring and Obeying**
- Speaking politely and gently to parents.
- Listening to their advice and carrying out good orders.

2. **Helping and Caring**
- Helping parents with household chores or daily needs.
- Caring for them with affection, especially when they are elderly or sick.

3. **Praying**
- Praying for the good of parents, both living and deceased.

4. **Provide Needs**
- If you are able, provide for your parents or provide financial assistance to them.

5. **Keeping the Family's Good Name**
- Behave well in society so as not to embarrass or hurt your parents.

In Islam, filial piety is a very noble practice and has great rewards, it is even mentioned in the Qur'an (Surah Al-Isra': 23) that one should do good to his parents and not speak harshly to them.
