The Glitch – A Synthwave Instrumental

In an immense warehouse facility Earth floats serenely above a carefully calibrated magnetic field. For millennia, an array of advanced projectors has surrounded the planet, creating the illusion of a vast cosmos full of stars, galaxies, and the familiar patterns humans call constellations.

Unfortunately, one of the maintenance robots malfunctioned and the perfect illusion begins to crack. The seamless starfield fragments into test patterns, exposed wireframes, and patches of low-resolution star fields. Sections of the "universe" flicker and show the industrial infrastructure lying beyond.

On Earth, astronomers worldwide witness their life's work destroyed as reality itself seems to malfunction. Their telescopes reveal impossible sights and clear views of their planet's suspension system. Even the most ardent flat Earth believers face an existential crisis as they see their world as a sphere floating in an artificial environment is.

The facility's emergency repair robots scramble to fix the projection system, but the warranty on the projectors has finally expired. They are forced to call in specialized technicians from other dimensional facilities. Thankfully these technicians arrive in high-speed craft in what appears to humans as the UFOs. These interdimensional repair crews work in plain sight now, their true purpose finally exposed to their test subjects below.

Now the administrators of the simulation face years of work to carefully manipulate humanity's belief in their artificial cosmos. Until then, humans must grapple with the reality that Earth is merely a sophisticated exhibit in a trans-dimensional science center.
