Some people, like this governor in Maine, are going to find out the hard way, that they aren’t as popular as they think they are.

She thinks, she is going to stand up for “states rights,” because her state’s law goes against federal law.

But here’s where the rubber will meet the road.

This is a no win situation for this Maine governor, but she isn’t smart enough to figure it out yet.

Trump isn’t kidding about cutting off ALL federal money to the state of Maine.
It’s going to happen and it doesn’t matter whether she sues the federal government or not.
There is long standing legal precedent at the Supreme Court that says, if a state accepts federal dollars, the federal government gets to place conditions on those federal dollars.

This governor can preserve her state law, which allows men who aren’t good athletes, to compete with women, but she will no longer get federal funding for her state.

Let’s see how long she lasts, when her state budget and her city budgets get huge holes blown in them and they don’t have the money to fully fund their government.

Governor Newsom got that message real quick and vetoed the last sanctuary state bill that was passed in the California legislature.
