Man kills himself when police try to arrest him ~ Police Body Camera Footage ~ True Crime Stories

Officers were called to the 5700 block of Etiwanda Avenue around 10:30 a.m. Thursday June 20, 2024 regarding a battery domestic violence call, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

They met with the victim, who indicated she and the suspect, later identified as 45-year-old Marlon Jimenez, were married and had a history of domestic violence. The officers allegedly observed visible injuries on the victim, which she stated had been caused by Jimenez.

The victim directed the officers to the suspect, who was inside a bedroom of the apartment. As officers attempted to get him to step into the hallway, he allegedly argued with them, then reached to his rear waistband and claimed he had a knife while retreating into a bedroom where he barricaded himself. Marlon Jimenez killed himself when police tried to arrest him.
