Building a DIY Hoop House in Italy (and why you should too)

After we decided we were going to take a stab at becoming as self sufficient as possible we realised our current greenhouse was not going to cut the mustard and we needed a bigger hoop house to fit our new requirements.
We watched countless Youtube videos on how to build a greenhouse and hoop house.

We certainly gained a lot of valuable knowledge from this exercise and the one thing I will say is do not be in too much of a hurry to finalise your design. The plan in my head must have changed at least 50 times during the time we were researching.

The design was limited to what materials we could source here in Southern Italy. No matter how hard I looked I could not find cattle panels like the ones available in the USA so we had to improvise. 😀
Bear in mind the design is fluid through the whole process and is subject to change at the drop of a hat if I figure out a better way to do something while I am building the hoop house.

Hopefully our design gives someone another way to build a hoop house without using cattle panels.
