1 PERSON DECEASED IN SINGLE VEHICLE ACCIDENT, LIVINGSTON TEXAS, 02/21/25...

1 Person Deceased in Single Vehicle Accident, LIVINGSTON, February 21, 2025 - At approximately 8 pm on February 21, 2025, the driver of a gray 2012 Ford Taurus was north-bound on US-59 just north of the Livingston City Limits. For an unknown reason, the driver left the pavement to the right, proceeded through drainage area, and struck a large pine tree in a yard. The vehicle caught fire, and the driver (male, name not yet released) was possibly killed on impact. Allegiance Ambulance Service was dispatched to the scene along with the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, and Troopers Simon Mijares and Nick Hatton with The Texas Highway Patrol. Justice of the Peace, Sarah Rasberry performed an inquest at the scene. The driver was transported from the scene by a first-call car from Cochran Funeral Home. The vehicle was transported from the scene by Harwood Wrecker Service. This accident remains under investigation by The Texas Highway Patrol.
