The Book of Jonah

Jonah 3

3 And is word Yehovah unto Jonah second, to say, 2 “Arise, go unto Nineveh the city, the whopping, and call unto her the proclamation which I speaking unto you.” 3 And arose, Jonah, and walks unto Nineveh, according to word Yehovah. And Nineveh existed – city whopping to God – a walk, three days. 4 And enters Jonah to go in the city, a walk day one. And calls, and says, “Again, forty day, and Nineveh being overturned.”

5 And believe, men Nineveh, in God. And call fast. And don sacks, from their greatest and until their least. 6 And touches the word unto king Nineveh. And arose from his throne. And passes over his robe from upon him. And covers sack. And sits upon the ash. 7 And cries, and says in Nineveh from taste the king and his greats, to say,

“The man and the beast, the herd and the flock, not taste a speck. Not pasture, and water not drink. 8 And cover sacks, the man and the beast. And call unto God in vehemence. And turns, man, from his way, the evil, and from the violence which in their palms. 9 Who knowing – turns and sighs* the God, and turned from burning, His nostril, and no perish.”

10 And sees, the God, their works. For turned from their way, the evil. And sighs*, the God, upon the evil which spoke to do to them, and no did.

*Verse 10: as if in anguished agreement
