In Memory of Brendan 'Bik' McFarlane -IRA Commander in the H-Blocks During Hungerstrike

Óglach Brendan 'Bik' McFarlane a legendary figure in the struggle for Irish freedom has passed away. The leader of the republican POWs in the H-Blocks during the heroic 1981 hunger strike and a 1983 H-Block escapee lost his battle with cancer. This short video is of Bik singing 'a song for Marcella' a song he wrote in memory of his hunger strike comrades at the graveside of his comrades Bobby Sands, Joe McDonnell and Kieran Doherty in the republican plot in Belfast's Milltown cemetery
