This development follows Acting Assistant Attorney General Emil Bove's directive to drop the charges, a move that led to resignations from Manhattan U.S. Attorney's Office prosecutors, who alleged a "quid pro quo" between Adams and the DOJ. Both Adams and DOJ officials have denied these allegations.
