Join us today for the conclusion to the epic Third Battle of Ramla, in which the crusader Kingdom of Jerusalem faced the powerful Fatimids of Egypt under General Sharaf al-Ma’ali. King Baldwin waited at Ramla until the morning of August 27, when Patriarch Evremar celebrated mass with the relic of the True Cross before the whole army. The King and his troops then advanced on Ibelin. Meanwhile, the enormous Fatimid army under General Sharaf al-Ma’ali, the Emir of Ascalon Jamal al-Mulk, and the Turk Sabawa advanced north from Ibelin to meet its Christian opponents. The Third Battle of Ramla was about to begin.
