Combat work of the Uragan MLRS crews of the West group of forces

The Uragan multiple launch rocket systems of the artillery unit of the West group of forces carry out fire missions day and night to destroy artillery batteries, armored vehicles of motorized infantry and tank units of the enemy in concentration areas and on the march, destroy command posts, strong points, communication centers, ammunition depots and other targets in the area of ​​the special military operation. The MLRS crews are on duty around the clock in full combat readiness. A new task can arrive at any moment. And as soon as the command is given, the Uragan crews leave their shelters and quickly prepare the combat vehicles for firing.

This time, the crews of the Uragan MLRS, while carrying out fire missions, destroyed a concentration of armored vehicles and manpower of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in one of the directions in the special operation zone. During aerial reconnaissance, the crew of the unmanned aerial vehicle discovered the temporary locations of armored vehicles and Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters and transmitted the information to the artillery command post.

After receiving target coordinates from unmanned aircraft and reconnaissance data, the crews of the 220-mm Uragan multiple launch rocket systems arrived at their firing positions, deployed, and launched a missile strike on the enemy with rockets. As a result of hitting the exposed targets, the enemy suffered losses in armored vehicles and manpower. In addition, as a result of the fire, the Ukrainian Armed Forces ammunition depot was destroyed.

The adjustment of artillery fire and recording of the destruction of targets was carried out with the help of UAV crews, which transmitted the results of fire damage to the artillery command post in real time. After conducting live fire, the Uragan MLRS crews changed their firing positions to backup ones to prevent return fire from the enemy.

During the execution of combat missions, artillerymen use high-explosive fragmentation ammunition, which allows them to inflict maximum damage on fortifications, buried concrete fortifications and enemy armored vehicles. The long range and large area of ​​destruction of the Uragans make it possible to use them to conduct effective counter-battery combat and attack the enemy's rear positions, disrupting the supply routes of Ukrainian militants.
