Instead of stopping stupid spending, they attack the guy who exposes stupid spending

In recent weeks, we’ve witnessed an alarming phenomenon that highlights one of the major differences between the values of the left and the principles we, conservatives, uphold. Instead of focusing on stopping unnecessary government spending, the Democrats have chosen to attack the person exposing that very waste. This attitude clearly demonstrates how the left prefers to defend a costly and bureaucratic system, while Republicans and conservatives prefer to empower the people and ensure taxpayer money is used responsibly.

Recently, we've seen examples of what some are calling “stupid spending” being funded with taxpayer dollars. One of the most notable cases was the support of a transgender comedy opera in Ireland, while in Iraq, "Sesame Street" is aired with content funded by the United States. Given these facts, common sense dictates that this is an improper use of our resources. Instead of focusing on cutting this kind of waste, Democrats are attacking those pointing out these inconsistencies.

This behavior highlights a fundamental difference in ideologies: the left trusts the bureaucracy and bureaucrats, believing they are smarter than the common people. For them, it's essential to trust government experts and federal agencies to make decisions about the fate of our money. However, we conservatives believe that true power lies with the people. It's the 77 million people who voted for President Trump who understood the importance of ending these abuses. And more importantly, we trusted that President Trump would carry out the mission of identifying and eliminating these unnecessary expenses that burden taxpayers.

From the beginning of his presidency, Trump made it clear: he would go after the government agencies wasting the citizens' money. And as promised, he is fulfilling that mission. This is why the attacks on him and those he has put in charge of this effort are deeply unjust. The bureaucrats who decided that funding programs like "Big Bird" and "Bert and Ernie" on Baghdad TV with American taxes was acceptable cannot be questioned, according to the left. But when an effort is made to question these expenses and expose the waste, the attacks begin.

Adding to this is the impunity shield surrounding the 108,000 people working at the U.S. Treasury. According to the left’s narrative, these people are smarter than the American people and, therefore, cannot be questioned. This concept of bureaucratic superiority, in which experts and bureaucrats are placed above the will of the people, is a pillar of progressive ideology. By contrast, Republicans believe that the people, the public, should have the final say on how their tax money is spent.

President Trump, by taking steps to examine the destination of taxes, is once again showing that his priority is to serve the nation, not the bureaucratic elites. Taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent, and that is a fundamental right that should not be ignored. This isn’t about ideology, it’s about common sense. Government leaders must be held accountable, and the people should be able to see transparently where every tax dollar is going.

The fight against unnecessary public spending is one of the most important battles we face today. The Trump administration has shown it is committed to fiscal responsibility, and has initiated measures to identify and eliminate the excesses affecting all Americans. Despite the attacks and the attempts of bureaucrats to divert attention from these crucial issues, the work of exposing wasteful spending remains a top priority.
