The saga of Grant Stockdale, a Miami businessman-turned-politician-turned businessman again who, because of his relationship with the virulently anti-Castro Miami politician George Smathers, could be leveraged by JFK to spy on the anti-Castro activities happening against his orders in late 1963 in South Florida. In doing so, he happened upon the conspiracy cabal plotting against JFK, warning the White House before the President's trip to Miami on November 18, revealing what he knew of the Dallas plot 4 days after JFK's assassination, and paying the ultimate price for his knowledge and willingness to talk 10 days after the assassination of his friend.
