[YTP] Scraps from teh Past Vol. 1: WHAT WENT WRONG?

I've been wanting to make this for a long time. As someone who's been making YTPs for almost 14 years now, you can probably imagine the amount of content that DIDN'T make the cut.

As a result I've made a compilation of a few YTPs I've made from 2017-2018 (and one from 2020) which was when my YTPs were genuinely starting to get good. These are mostly unaltered and released just the way I intended had I actually finished them. With the exception of a few minor edits I've made to include jokes that were always going to be a part of the finished product, but was too lazy to make. (Also added one new joke to correct a missed opportunity. I'm not going to say which one it is. 🤫)

This ended up evoking personal emotions while working on this. Even just going back to some of these jokes evoked some good feelings of nostalgia and still get a kick out of them even if they may not rank among my best work, even if they were finished. Just the idea that these are finally seeing the light of day feels great.

Background info on each segment and why it never saw the light of day:

The Unwritten YTP (2020): The opening section was made during a creative block. I thought I was going somewhere with this, but found it pretty hard to live up to that strong start, so I never finished it.

Chadtronic (2018): Out of all of the YTPs in this compilation, this was the closest one to being finished and at one point was going to see the light of day when it was supposed to. With that said, this was 2018 which was probably my most insane year in terms of video quantity. I had finished 30 YTPs that year and this project I intended to finish at one point, but others got in the way. That and I was also starting to run out of ideas by the end. So, pretend this came out in 2018 like it was supposed to.

Commercials (2017): This is one I was working on around the same time as my AVGN Enjoys Beats Off to Christian Games YTP. That one came out on Christmas Eve of that year while this one was supposed to come out on New Year's Eve. However, I had bit off more than I can chew and it was more effort than it was worth considering my channel was much smaller at the time. So, I had postponed it intending to release it next year, but by that point, I was burnt out of this project. I added the Floam informercial to try and artificially extend the video's runtime only for it to drain me and abandon this project.

AVGN (2018): This was going to be an entry for Master Sword's AVGN collab, but felt it was too short and started working on it shortly before the deadline.

Judas Priest Takes Too Many Painkillers (2018): I attempted a bit of a different style with this one. I was mainly inspired by Biodegradable back when he still made YTPs. This was an interesting song to make a poop of and I think there was huge potential here. Just like the Chadtronic one, this was just caught in the crossfire of having too many projects. I'm thinking of remaking this one entirely, but only time will tell if that happens.

Ween (2017): This was made around the time my channel was dormant for a few months. At that point, I had a few YTPs in the works, but none of them were finished. While some of them eventually saw the light of day like the Banjo Kazooie, Alex Jones and jacksepticeye ones, this one pretty much stayed dormant. I'm not so sure why because in hindsight, it could've worked well as a filler YTP. Oh well, at least it's here now.
