An important aspect of the Oswald narrative is this character who gets everyone's attention and makes sure they know he's a communist, isn't a real person, it's an operation.
Haven't watched this closely yet.
I believe he's saying the record is "their" record because they both played the LHO character.
A couple things about these records
-Hughes is rationalizing that Oswald got out of boot camp in December, based on some record he saw and lost track of, but that's not possible. Marine Corps Boot camp was 12 weeks in 1956. No one finishes early. Unless they were adjusting the start time forward and changing the record since they're making a fictional character of sorts. But they're not going to put him down as graduating early. He could graduate late, if he gets dropped and goes to the Pork Chop Platoon or has an injury etc. But no one finishes early. Maybe I'm getting the wrong historic info though. I'm reading it became 13 weeks in the early 60s and before that was 12.
MCT is combat training for POGs (not in infantry), grunts do ITB, I guess they called it something different then. But that's what Oswald would have done after boot camp and before his specialty training (avaiation electronics).
