The Sound of Fury (1950)

Directed by Cy Endfield. Also known as Try and Get Me! The story follows Howard Tyler (Frank Lovejoy), an unemployed family man who falls in with a charismatic but violent criminal, Jerry Slocum (Lloyd Bridges). Desperate for money, Howard becomes involved in a series of robberies that spiral into a shocking crime, leading to a media frenzy and public outrage.
