SOCOM 16 | New Take On An Old Design

The SOCOM 16 is Springfield Armory’s newer version of the classic M14. Despite being the shortest lived service rifle for the US military, the M14 still has a cult following to this day. The SOCOM 16 is chambered in the same .308 powerhouse, but features a shorter barrel, lighter stock, rails, and more. It even has the infamous “shoulder thing that goes up.” While it will never be as handy as a modern AR-15, it’s still a fantastic rifle.
