SCRIPTURE READING FOR TODAY
Gen 30:1-8

When Rachel saw that she wasn’t having any children for Jacob, she became jealous of her sister. She pleaded with Jacob, “Give me children, or I’ll die!”
2 Then Jacob became furious with Rachel. “Am I God?” he asked. “He’s the one who has kept you from having children!”
3 Then Rachel told him, “Take my maid, Bilhah, and sleep with her. She will bear children for me, and through her I can have a family, too.”
4 So Rachel gave her servant, Bilhah, to Jacob as a wife, and he slept with her.
5 Bilhah became pregnant and presented him with a son.
6 Rachel named him Dan, for she said, “God has vindicated me! He has heard my request and given me a son.”
7 Then Bilhah became pregnant again and gave Jacob a second son.
8 Rachel named him Naphtali, for she said, “I have struggled hard with my sister, and I’m winning!”

The Word of God To Meditate On Today
Gen 30:3-8 - Human System At Best Would Produce Carnality
Each of the three great patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob) had wives who had difficulty conceiving children. It is interesting to note how each man reacted to his wife's predicament. Abraham had relations with Sarah's servant in order to have his own child, thus introducing bitterness and jealousy into his family. Isaac, by contrast, prayed to God when his wife was barren. God eventually answered his prayers, and Rebekah had twin sons. Jacob, however, followed his grandfather's example and had children by his wives' servants, leading to sad and sometimes bitter consequences.

Personal Supplication
Father, in the name of Jesus, I decree and declare that my approach to life, at all times would spiritual and not carnal in Jesus' name! Col 3:1-2

If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

Weekly Protection Covenant Declaration
Because I dwell in the secret place of the most High, I Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: My God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler, And from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover me with his feathers, And under his wings shalt I trust: His truth shall be my shield and buckler. I shall not be afraid for the terror by night; Nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walks in darkness; Nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, And ten thousand at thy right hand; But it shall not come nigh thee throughout this week in Jesus' name!

Only with my eyes shalt I behold And see the wicked receive their rewards. Because I have made the LORD, my refuge, Even the most High, my habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, Neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For God shall give his angels charge over thee, To keep thee in all my ways. They shall bear me up in their hands, Lest I dash thy foot against a stone. I shall tread upon the lion and adder: The young lion and the dragon shalt I trample under feet. Because I have set my love upon God, therefore will He deliver me: He will set him on high, because I have known His name. I shall call upon Him, and He will answer me: He will be with me in trouble; He will deliver me, and honour me. With long life will God satisfy me, And shew me His salvation. So shall it be for me and my household throughout this week in Jesus' name!
