Is the Thirwall inquiry Independent?
Thats a very good question and deserves some careful consideration and we will be giving it that careful consideration in todays teabreak using Baby K / now known as baby 11 as a means to discuss the important aspects of just what an inquiry of this magnetude should encompass
Has the Thirwall fallen short?
Should any inquiry be started on the premises of anything that has gone before or should it always be completely independent and a fresh set of eyes entirely?
Given the issues with the appeals process and how unjust it seems that even if someone is innocent they might never get an appeal if their own defence missed something that was avaialble at the time of their trial
From this perspective surely any inquiry is potentially an underutilised tool, surely?
And was Dr Jayaram suffering from hysteria?
