In sacrifice rituals, the white dove, symbolising the Goddess, is burned. This dove has come to replace the sacred feminine figure—the archetype of the divine feminine—in the Christian tradition. Within this framework, the dove stands in for the divine mother or blessed mother, representing the emotional aspect of the Trinity of thought, emotion, and action. By substituting the dove for the divine feminine in this triadic model, the emotional and sacred feminine qualities are effectively erased. This has contributed to the rise of a male-dominated religious structure, which has shaped the development of Christianity and its associated patriarchal norms throughout Western civilisation
